M2M network (Machine to Machine)

LTE-M network
The LTE-M network has been specially developed for IoT applications and is based on the reliable and secure 4G networks of established providers. LTE-M offers a better reach than traditional mobile networks and has a deeper penetration rate in buildings. LTE-M allows for fast data transmission in an energy-efficient way and is suitable for various applications that worked with 2G and/or 3G before.
NB-IOT network
Also known as LTE Cat NB1, this is a rapidly emerging LPWAN technology. It connects devices more easily and efficiently on the already established 4G (LTE) mobile network. It is meant to receive/send small amounts of data and is completely secure and reliable. NB-IOT uses a specific frequency that is strong enough to pass through thick walls and can even be used underground. As a result, it offers coverage in challenging situations.
4G network
4G is the faster and more stable successor to 3G. Fast 4G connections ensure that all kinds of devices can access the internet effortlessly and without hitches in the background. You can use 4G, 4G+ or 4G++, depending on the coverage and the provider. 4G can also be used for IoT business cases. 4G can handle large amounts of data including high speed and throughput. Many devices in the field (laptops, tablets and handhelds) use a 4G SIM for wireless internet access.
5G network
5G provides the 5th generation mobile internet and is the successor to 4G. One of the biggest improvements is the low latency. With 5G we will soon be able to download and stream even faster with more devices at the same time, even in crowded places such as in stadiums or at festivals. 5G is also becoming important in the verticals of transport, security, care and agriculture where fast response times are mandatory.
